In the heart of Kargi, a remote village 50km from Marsabit in north-eastern Kenya, our Hope against Cancer Initiative at St. Theresa Mission Hospital-Kiirua is lighting up lives. On May 6, 2025, we embarked on a 4-day medical screening camp, running until May 9, to bring quality healthcare to a community that has long called for help. The scorching sun cannot dim the spirit of our medical team, who are camping in Kargi to touch as many lives as possible.

We chose Kargi because of the heartbreaking medical cases referred to us, the undeniable need in the region, and the heartfelt pleas from residents who’ve traveled to our hospital seeking care. The response has been overwhelming, families, young and old, are embracing our services with gratitude. Alongside screenings and treatment, we’ve brought food, easing the burdens of hunger that weigh heavily on this community.
Every smile, every life we reach, reminds us why we do this: to spread love, hope, and healing. But the fight against cancer is far from over, and we can’t do it alone. If you’re moved to join us in our Hope Against Cancer Initiative, there’s always room for more hearts and hands to make a difference. Partner with us, and together, let’s keep hope alive.
