CHEF (2 Vacancies):

Duties and responsibilities;

  • Planning menus in consultation with Nutrition &Dietetics unit
  • Preparing meals to meet the patients’ dietary or cultural requirement
  • Providing healthy food that is appealing to encourage patients to eat
  • Preparing meals for general Hospital  occasional buffet / function requests.
  • Control of food safety and quality through continuous monitoring of food temperature.
  • Estimate food requirements and food costs and application of cost cutting measures.
  • Ensure proper handling and continuous maintenance of equipment and utensils

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Food Production, Hospitality management with a major in food production or any other related field.
  • 2 years’ experience preferably in a hospital set up
  • Well conversant with vegetarian Menu and food costing.
  • Knowledge in pastry will be added advantage.
  • Should be a team player
  • Computer Literacy and Management training are added advantages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for people and service
  • High level of Integrity.
  • High standards of grooming and personal etiquette
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.

DENTIST
Terms: Permanent & Pensionable

Responsibilities

  • Providing dental care including diagnosing common oral conditions, treating, prescribing and referring;
  • Carrying out minor oral and maxillofacial surgery; prosthetics and conservative dentistry
  • Facilitating admission, disease investigation of patients, report writing and assisting in theatre activities
  • Providing psycho-social interventions
  • Collecting information on dental health information system
  • Training and mentoring Dental Interns and other students:
  • Implementing health projects and programmes
  • Monitoring provision of health treatment and care
  • Undertaking health research

     Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (DS) degree from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council;
  • Successfully completed one (1) year internship from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate of Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council;
  • Valid practicing license from Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council;
  • Certificate in Computer proficiency skills from a recognized institution
