St. Theresa Mission Hospital – Kiirua is home to the most sophisticated radiology facility in Eastern Region of Kenya. Our department provides a comprehensive range of Imaging Services, including both routine and specialized procedures. With the best technology available today, the hospital is establishing leadership in diagnostic and interventional imaging in the medical sector. We also have a Consultant radiologist are who interpret and report on the images generated by  our radiographers.

SERVICES:

  • 16 SLICE CT SCANNER

    – This imaging machine is able to generate 16 slices per tube rotation, therefore enabling a radiologist to detect any condition with a high degree of accuracy. The machine also performs specialized complex procedures for:

  • All body parts
  • Angiographic studies including: Brain(circle of wills), Upper limb angiogram, Aortogram, Renal angiogram, Neck Angiogram, Pulmonary angiogram

  • X-RAY

    The department has a modern X-Ray Unit and a CR processing unit that provides high quality images of diagnostic value.

  • DENTAL X-RAYS – A wide  range of dental X-Rays are performed as requested by our well experienced dentists in our fully equipped Dental X-Ray Unit. E.G. I.O.P.A, bite wing
  • Digital X-rays:all body parts,age  assessment.

ULTRASOUND –

  • The department is equipped with a new generation Ultrasound machine that performs a wide range of ultrasound examinations.  Ultrasound guided procedures are also performed under the guidance of well-trained Sonographers. Abdominal, Pelvic(postrate, KUB), obs/gyn, Small parts e.g testical, breast, thyroid, Ultrasound guided, cranical ultrasound, regional utrasound, vascular studies, Elastography, ECHO, E.C.G, Optical e.t.c.
