St. Theresa Mission Hospital Kiirua (STMH-K) joined hands with Kenya Methodist University (KeMU) at the KeMU Career Expo 2025 on Saturday 15th February, as students from various schools gathered to explore career paths and discover their passions.

For us at STMH-K, it was more than just a career talk—it was about giving back to the community that we proudly serve. Guided by our commitment to social responsibility and community well-being, we embraced the opportunity to inspire the next generation while making a meaningful impact.

Career choices shape futures, and at the Expo, we were honored to guide students who are at a crucial crossroad in their lives. With curiosity in their eyes and dreams in their hearts, they flocked to learn about the medical field, asking insightful questions about the challenges and rewards of healthcare careers.
At STMH-K, our mission goes beyond providing healthcare; it’s about uplifting our community. That’s why we responded to KeMU’s call to support young girls by donating sanitary towels. It was a simple yet powerful gesture, one that aimed to break barriers and ensure that no girl’s education is interrupted by lack of access to menstrual products.
The gratitude from KeMU’s management, represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, was heartfelt. But even more touching were the smiles and silent gratitude from the girls themselves. For us, this was a reminder of the real impact of social responsibility—empowering communities and changing lives.

Towards the end of the event, we exchanged gifts with KeMU team just as one would in our African culture when visiting someone’s home to symbolize respect and continuity of the Friendship. And They are part of the community we proudly serve.

At STMH-K, we believe that empowering the next generation and supporting the community we serve is one of the greatest investments we can make. To Love and To Serve!
