At St. Theresa Mission Hospital-Kiirua, we believe in the power of early detection and timely intervention to transform lives. Our Urology Surgical Screening Camp, an initiative that has been running successfully for the past seven years, underscores our commitment to providing quality healthcare services to our community.

Why Screening Matters
Early detection is the cornerstone of effective treatment and management. Through our urology screenings, we can:

1. Identify health issues early, enabling more effective treatments.
2. Reduce the risk of disease progression and associated mortality.
3. Improve the overall health and well-being of our community.
About the Screening Camp
This annual event is organized in collaboration with urology specialists, ensuring expert care for every patient. Key highlights include:

1. No consultation fee for all patients.
2. Diagnosis and treatment for identified urological issues.
3. Booking of surgical or any other further interventions for patients who require advanced care.

On average, we screen at least 150 patients during this one-day exercise, offering hope and solutions to those in need. This year the camp was held On Thursday 16th January 2025 with at least 134 patients benefitting from the same.

While our initiative has made a significant impact over the years, we recognize that some patients cannot afford further interventions, such as medications and diagnostic tests. To bridge this gap, we are appealing for sponsorships and partnerships to 1. There’s need for these services and we would like to be holding these screening services as often as possible in order to help more people,  2. to support needy patients especially in form of  medical supplies, or services in order to make a life-changing difference.

Join us in this noble mission to ensure that every patient diagnosed with urological issues receives the care they deserve.
